Welcome to PG HUB. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our application. By using PG HUB, you agree to the terms described below.

PG HUB is designed for PG (Paying Guest) owners, hostel managers, and landlords to manage tenants, track rent payments, and generate receipts. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to keeping your data secure.

We only collect information that is necessary to deliver the core features of the app.

2.1 Account Information

• Email address (used for login via Google Sign-In or email/password)
• Full name (from your Google account, if you sign in with Google)
• User ID (generated internally by our authentication system)

2.2 PG / Property Information

• PG name and address
• Room numbers, room types, and rent amounts
• PG logo (optional, uploaded by the owner)

2.3 Tenant Information (entered by the PG owner)

• Tenant names and phone numbers
• Check-in and check-out dates
• Monthly rent amount and payment status
• Security deposit amount, date, and payment mode

2.4 Payment and Transaction Records

• Rent payment entries (amount, date, mode: UPI / Cash)
• Security deposit records
• Day guest records and payments
• Expense records entered by the owner

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate and identify your account securely
• To store and display your PG, room, and tenant data
• To generate rent receipts and security deposit receipts
• To send WhatsApp payment reminders (via your device's WhatsApp app — we do not send messages via API)
• To display payment history, reports, and summaries
• To support subscription features (via Razorpay — a third-party payment gateway)
• To improve the app and fix errors

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in these limited cases:

• Supabase – Our database and authentication provider
• Razorpay – For processing subscription payments only
• Google Sign-In – For authentication only
• Legal compliance – If required by law or court order

7. WhatsApp Integration

PG HUB allows you to send payment reminders and receipts via WhatsApp using your device's native WhatsApp app (via wa.me deep links). We do not send messages on your behalf, access your contacts, or use the WhatsApp Business API.

PG HUB is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware of such data, it will be deleted immediately.

• Access the personal data stored in your account
• Correct or update incorrect information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@pgmanager.app. We will respond within 30 days.

11. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
